Hi, I’m a 42years old and I’m in a wheelchair and it’s hard to get to the store in my wheelchair because of the sidewalks. When I get to the corner, it is too steep and some corners don’t have a way to get across the street. I have to go halfway down the block to a driveway so I can get across the street. Some corners have a way to get off the curb but when I get across the other corner does not, so I have to go in the street halfway to a driveway.
It is scary because cars go by there too fast. On the sidewalk, I sometimes get stuck in the crack and almost fall out of my wheelchair. After that, I don’t want to leave my house and I have to get out sometimes. What can I do about this? Please let me know.
