Andy and Tamra Barrington just returned home from a weeklong lake vacation. They spent half a week at Lake San Antonio then they packed up and headed east to Lake Isabella for the remainder of the week. The invited Buddy to go along with them for the week so he was gone all week too. They spent all week rafting, water skiing and fishing. Now they’re all pros on the kneeboard, wake board and water skis. It sure was quite at our place without Buddy and Brody fighting all week!

Buck season opened last weekend, I know of several folks who went out on opening day but I haven’t heard of any big buck stories yet. If you got one that deserves some bragging rights, be sure to give me a call.

Many South County residents spent last weekend in Salinas at the ACBRA Barrel Racing finals. Some of those participating from the area included Colleen Sabin, Paty Raine, Dreux Clark, Sandy Silva, Jessika Willoughby, Melissa and Barbara Perry, Cynthia Fancher, Janell Flook, Ellie Porteur, Betty Sans, Becky Doty, Curt and Nicole Nelson, Angie Brouhard, Trudi Bordi and me and Sierra Jo. Colleen, Sierra, Jessika, Sandy and Janell were big money winners from our area, they won lots of money and beautiful awards as well.

Congratulations go out to Taylor Jo Hurley for winning the all-around award at the Mid-State Fair Junior Gymkhana last week. Taylor has been working hard and placing every where she goes but this was her first all-around and she definitely deserves it. Way to go Taylor, I’m sure this was the first of many more to come!

Have a great week, and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at [email protected] with any news you’d like to share.
