The National Weather Service has declared a heat advisory for San Benito County lasting from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
The weather service is predicting high temperatures of 107 on Wednesday and 108 on Thursday for Hollister, according to the forecast. Temperatures are expected to reach 105 on Friday as well, according to the forecast.
Along with those high temperatures comes the heat advisory. The weather service warns people to show precaution to prevent illness by avoiding strenuous activities outside during the day and staying hydrated. It also reminds residents to never leave children, the elderly or pets in a vehicle.
