A woman was killed Saturday when a pickup truck driven by a 32-year-old Hollister man struck her along Shore Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman killed in the accident was Diana Marie Cronin, 45, of Fresno, according to the county sheriff’s office, which acts as coroner.
The incident was reported at 6:20 p.m. Hollister resident Luis Rios was eastbound on Shore Road in a 1995 Toyota pickup truck approaching Frye Lane when the vehicle struck the woman, according to the CHP, which did not release anymore information on the nature of the incident.
The CHP said the matter remains under investigation and noted it is unknown if alcohol or drugs contributed to it. The driver was not arrested.
