Oklahoma and former Baler shortstop Jessica Vest will play in a deciding Game 3 on Wednesday for the NCAA softball title.

The Oklahoma Sooners, featuring the freshman Vest at shortstop, lost 8-6 to Alabama on Tuesday. Oklahoma had won the first game in the best-of-three series, so the teams will play Wednesday for the championship.

Vest played on four straight Central Coast Section title teams for the San Benito High School softball team. She graduated in 2011.

The game Wednesday will be televised on ESPNU at 5 p.m.
