About 45,000 people came out to Morgan Hill’s quirky and colorful annual festival, Mushroom Mardi Gras.

The Mardi Gras raises money for local charities and nonprofits that volunteer at the event. This year, the non-profit Mushroom Mardi Gras, Inc. gave out 38 $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors from Live Oak, Sobrato and Central Continuation high schools.
