William D. “Bill” Gansberger died Monday, May 12, 2003 at his home in San Juan Bautista. He was 60.

A native of Hollister, Mr. Gansberger had lived all his life in San Benito County. He was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers Union Local 104. An avid duck hunter, he was also a member of the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.

He is survived by his partner, Darlene Anger of San Juan Bautista; his son, Michael Gansberger of San Martin; his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Debbie Gansberger of San Juan Bautista; a granddaughter, a nephew and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Gansberger in 1988.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 18 at 11 a.m. at the San Juan Bautista VFW Hall. Private inurnment is planned.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.

Memorials are preferred to the Visiting Nurse Association or Ducks Unlimited, in care of the funeral home.
