The financial-services firm Edward Jones once again has been named a top company for training, ranking No. 15 on Training magazine’s 2012 Training Top 125 list and winning special recognition for its financial advisor training program, according to Mark Vivian of Edward Jones in Hollister.
Edward Jones has been honored as a top training company for 12 years in a row, dating back to the debut of the Training Top 50 in 2001.
For 2012, it was the top-ranked national brokerage on the list and won special recognition for its financial advisor training, which enrolls nearly 200 trainees monthly. Edward Jones’ Practice Makes Perfect initiative – which significantly increased role play in training programs for recruits from all walks of life, improving their success rates – won one of five Best Practice awards.
The 2012 rankings and special recognitions were announced at a Feb. 13 awards dinner during the magazine’s Training 2012 Conference and Expo in Atlanta.
“Edward Jones provides the financial industry’s best training and I am proof of that,” Vivian said. “I access a constant stream of training and tools that help me provide appropriate solutions tailored to my clients’ needs, whether that be retirement, buying a home or sending their children to college.”
The firm has consistently earned high marks as an employer of choice in other national rankings. For the 13th year, Edward Jones was named one of FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For 2012.” The firm took the No. 5 overall spot on the prestigious list, also was named to the No. 3 spot for large companies and was the highest ranking financial-services firm.
