County orders weed abatement for abandoned home

A home along Bridgevale Road in county jurisdiction will have its growing supply of weeds abated by the county. The same property might also be sold off because there is an enormous tax debt owed to the county.

Supervisors this week agreed to have weeds cut down at a property at 490 Bridgevale Road. The former owner of the house passed away a while back, so there had been no maintenance upkeep there.

County officials at Tuesday’s meeting also noted that there are thousands of dollars in tax obligations attached to the property, and there is consideration to sell the home to offset those debts and abatement.
