Two minor earthquakes shook Hollister briefly this morning with the biggest one, at magnitude-3.9, centered about seven miles south of Tres Pinos, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The first one, the larger quake, occurred at 6:43 a.m., according to the USGS Web site. An aftershock at 6:58 a.m. also registered at magnitude-3.0 and also had an epicenter about seven miles south of Tres Pinos and 12 miles south/southeast of Hollister.

There was no reported damage from either earthquake. They followed a magnitude-3.4 temblor that occurred Tuesday night.
