About 55 people attended the grand opening ceremony of John Z. Hernandez Park Thursday at the corner of Ranchito Drive and Central Avenue. Upgrades include replaced equipment, new benches and beautified landscaping. A state grant provided the county with $50,000 to install new playground equipment in partnership with the City of Hollister.
