Vandalism

Vandals threw a piece of a tombstone through the windshield of a Chevrolet Silverado truck in the first block of Locust Avenue in Hollister at about 4am March 4, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

Burglaries

Burglars broke into a Volkswagen in the 1000 block of Oak Street in Hollister at about 4:35am March 3, police said. Burglars took $60 in cash, a driver’s license, identification cards, a checkbook and a wallet, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars kicked in a garage door to enter a home in the 700 block of A Street in Hollister between 12:30pm and 3:45pm Wednesday, police said. Burglars took $430 in cash, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars broke into a Honda Civic in the 200 block of Third Street in Hollister at about 5pm Wednesday, police said. Burglars took a Kenwood stereo worth $400, a wallet and an iPod worth $200, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars broke the lock of a front door to enter a home in the 400 block of Santa Ana Road in Hollister between midnight March 1 and 1:46pm Thursday, police said. Burglars took a 25-inch television worth $300, police said. There are no suspects.

Grand theft

Thieves broke into a storage unit in the 1500 block of San Felipe Road in Hollister between midnight Feb. 1 and 11:59pm March 1, police said. Thieves stole a $4,600 stereo system from a stored boat, police said. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Driving under the influence

Mary Flamini, 49, of the 1100 block of Powell Street in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, at an accident in the 400 block of Nash Road in Hollister at 7:10pm Wednesday, police said.

Vincent Higlesias, 29, of Los Banos, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after officers pulled him over at San Benito Street and Sixth Street at 9:35pm Thursday, police said.

Domestic Violence

Francisco Bazurto, 32, of Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of domestic violence and illegal weapon possession, both felonies, after a domestic disturbance call at 7pm Thursday, deputies said. Bazurto allegedly slapped a woman in the face several times and was in possession of a knife attached to his belt, deputies said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
