Mosquito Program is Unfair
Editor,
I’m writing this letter to comment about this mosquito program taxing all the parcels they can to protect everyone else. In my opinion if it’s to everybody’s benefit and if it’s a real need, everyone should carry the tab like in sales taxes. I can’t agree in this program because in the 48 years we have been living here we have never felt threatened by mosquitoes. We vote no on this matter. The recent vote on the matter was your opportunity to let them know that you don’t believe in it either.
We are so full of taxes one more tax is unacceptable. Pretty soon there will be nothing left for us to live on. I feel that our leaders should spend more time studying about bad rodents like squirrels that are invading our county. Statistically if I recall, 40 squirrels eat the feed of one cow. Having thousands around and spreading every year looks to me like we are heading for disaster. I spend thousands of dollars trying to control them but no matter how much I spend they just keep coming in. This is the kind of problem our leaders should spend more time studying.
A tax on a program to reduce squirrels I wouldn’t hesitate to vote yes on because I am aware of how much damage they cause. If you see it as I see it you had the opportunity now to vote no. Like always this is only my opinion.

Why no coverage of Mission SJB’s Fiesta?
Editor,
I am sorry that the Free Lance or Pinnacle never printed anything about our Fiesta we had at our Mission, which was June 24, the 210th anniversary, and we had our Bishop Garcia and family which was the first time the Bishop has come to our Fiestas.
The parishioners would have been very happy.
Sorry that your people don’t care about the Mission.
I have been getting the Free Lance for over 65 years.
