Authorities have identified the 29-year-old male who died in a solo-vehicle accident early Monday after colliding with a PG&E pole.
The victim was Miguel Angel Serna from Dos Palo, according to Capt. Eric Taylor of the sheriff’s office.
The accident occurred at about 5:23 a.m. Monday on Shore Road east of Lovers Lane in Hollister. The CHP reported that “for an undetermined reason” the man made an “unsafe turning movement” to the left causing his vehicle, a 1993 Toyota, to leave the roadway on the south shoulder, according to the the press release. It overturned onto its right side and collided with a PG&E pole, according to the statement.
The man was trapped in the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries due to the collision, according to the statement. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were a factor in the collision, the press release said.
