Thank you for publishing “San Benito County’s Most Wanted.” In light of our recent increase in gang activity and police department overload, I think this was a wise move. Sure it will embarrass a few, but isn’t that half the point?
It appears that many crimes that happen in San Benito County go unreported or the investigation is thwarted because victims refuse to talk. There is no justice for a quiet community. I think it is perfectly fair and reasonable to ask the community to share in the responsibility of protecting ourselves and our children.
I applaud the Free Lance for taking the step to speak up for those who won’t. I think we should only be embarrassed if we remain quiet. Speaking up and out is the thing to do. If anyone should be embarrassed it’s the mug in the photo.
