141190~Go to the voters for affordable housing —The city of
Hollister is stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to
state demands to provide housing
– affordable housing in particular. But city leaders already
have struck upon a positive solution.
Wow!Just curious; who do you expect to pay for the ‘affordable housing’ units??? Is their a secret philanthropist just dying to donate the land, pay for construction? One thing about this ‘solution’, it is a perfect example of the outright greed and hypocracy that exists in San Benito. Housing prices are high because there are more buyers than houses. This enriches those who own who then scream ‘NO MORE HOUSES’. I have an idea you ‘divide the pie’ and then I pick first piece. That way you can go live in your car and I’ll take your already built house. Development is for PEOPLE who need housing. If you don’t want more people I would suggest you call your Congressmen and insist he enforce immigration laws, since virtually all the increase in California’s population is due to immigration (you don’t have to believe me–go to the census.) Me?? I’m willing to build adequate housing.
