Editor,

Something smells rotten in Hollister. When the Board of Supervisors in any community begin to all agree on issues and it looks as if “they know what to do to move the ship in the right direction,” (“SBC’s Direction Has One Writer Thinking of Hanging Up His Quill,” letters, Oct. 19) this is not the time to quit writing and questioning, this is the time to start digging. There must be something else there, some type of “behind the scenes” compromising going on. Politicians simply do not agree.
