Children’s Art Exhibition
The San Benito County Arts Council presents a Children’s Art Exhibition and Silent Auction set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Blak Sage Gallery, 727 San Benito St. It will include art of students from an array of local schools. There will be live music with Bob Reid, along with food and refreshments.

Unit 524 Bridge Club in the greater South Bay Area has upcoming events. Business After Hours
The next Business After Hours event put on by the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau is set for 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12. It is hosted by law firm L&G and the San Benito County Farm Bureau at 530 San Benito St., suite 202.
Zip Books program, library hours
ZipBooks, a grant-funded program, is now available at the San Benito County Free Library. Residents can request new books and have them delivered directly to their home addresses.  Additionally, the county library is now open on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Taizé Evensong
It is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 20 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 720 Monterey St., in Hollister. It includes jazz guitar, chanted prayers in the style of the ecumenical community at Taizé, France, spoken word, and silence in a candle-lit sanctuary combine to offer a unique opportunity for 45 minutes of peace in your week. One-Stop training grant
San Benito County One-Stop Career Center announced it has received a WIA Assistance grant to help provide core, intensive training and support services to veterans who are recently separated and/or post-9/11-era veterans and unemployed. This grant will assist people in getting back into the workforce, update skills to become more marketable or gain valuable experience while getting paid. Programs offered include individual training scholarships, on the job training, work experience and supportive services. If you’re interested, call the center at (831) 637-5627. Orientations are held weekly from 11 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and Fridays.
