Westerfield Junior Championship coming to Hollister
The Westfield Junior PGA Northern California Championship will be held June 16 at Ridgemark Golf and Country Club in Hollister.
Deadline to register is June 6. Entry forms can be obtained at prospective players’ local PGA golf facility or by calling the NorCal PGA Section at (707) 339-4742.
Boys and girls compete in three age divisions – 12 and under, 13-15 and 16-17. The two older divisions are eligible to represent the Northern California section at the 2003 Westfield Junior PGA Championship in Westfield Center, Ohio July 16-19 with all expenses paid.
SJO team seventh
A team from San Juan Oaks Golf Club is seventh after the first round of the NCGA South Bay Zone at Poppy Hills Golf Club on Monday.
Bob Greene, Sam Harris, Mike Howard and Dan O’Leary carded a 130, which places them 11 strokes behind the leader.
The tourney moved to Spyglass Hill today.
