Dear Editor:

This is one American that is really tired of the press and liberals carping away at finding weapons of mass destruction. I don’t care if we ever find any in Iraq. It is enough for me that Saddam Hussein has been removed from power. For me, it was never about WMD, but about Saddam! A recent poll found that 60 percent of Americans don’t really care either!

What’s wrong with the press and the liberals? Do they really think the world would have been better off with Saddam still in power? Why isn’t there outrage at the thousands of bodies in Sadaam’s mass graves? Why isn’t there outrage over his looting his own people’s national bank? Why doesn’t the press speak for the man who had his tongue pulled out with pliers and cut off by Qusay’s thugs? Where is the outrage over the “children’s prison?”

Five thousand Kurds can definitely say Saddam had chemical weapons and used them.

I’m proud of the fact that this country had the moral fiber to get rid of a tyrant. The French and Europeans said “never again” after WWII, but they didn’t have courage to back up their words with action.

One only has to look at the recent massacre in the Congo, where U.N. troops were under orders not to fire unless their building was attacked, to see where Iraq would be if we had relied on the UN.

Our work isn’t done yet. We have made mistakes and will make more, but please get over it. The world is better off without Saddam. There is never a wrong time to do the right thing.
