Cooper/Marmarou: Gary and Linda Cooper of San Martin are excited to announce the marriage of their daughter Denise Marie to Nicholas Gregory Marmarou on April 19, 2014.
Nick is the son of Gary Marmarou of Watsonville and Valerie and Ron Hall of Gilroy.
The wedding was held in beautiful South Lake Tahoe shared by loving friends and family.

Kaitlyn Lombardo
Kaitlyn Lombardo, a sophomore from Christopher High School, was selected to attend the EDGE Youth Leadership seminar from May 23-25 at UC Berkeley.
Each year high schools are asked to nominate just one exceptional student who has demonstrated strong leadership abilities or potential. The EDGE seminar gives young leaders a chance to meet with respected leaders in business, nonprofits and government, pepper them with questions and discuss important issues ranging from the environment to the future of education.
Ruth Guzman
Air Force Airman 1st Class Ruth E. Guzman graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Guzman is the daughter of Esmeralda Guzman of Hollister and a 2010 graduate of San Benito High School.
Students make George Fox dean’s list
More than 700 students earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher to earn dean’s list honors at George Fox University during the 2014 spring semester.
