The Balers know all about Branham following Tuesday night’s
20-25, 25-17, 18-25, 24-26 road loss to the Bruins, making it a
long bus ride home. San Benito is now 4-4 on the year.

“They were a better team than we were (tonight),” said Schallhorn, in his first year. “They had a good passing attack and were aggressive at the net. We’re still a young team. We have two and a half weeks before our first league match. We have a lot to work on, but we’ll get there.”
Alyssa Fowles led the team with 15 kills, while Melissa Moore had seven kills and five aces. Setters Stephanie Mauro and Kathleen McCullough had 15 and 12 assists, respectively. Junior back row Michelle Sanchez had a team-high 10 digs.
The Balers are off until next Wednesday when they host Mt. Pleasant of San Jose.
