Sylvia Hurtado
Sylvia Hurtado was named Gavilan College’s Employee of the Month for July 2014. She is a full-time custodian and has been with Gavilan College since 2001.
Hurtado was faced with a difficult situation during the shifting of staff from the Child Development Center and was placed in a totally different assignment. She took the change with a positive attitude and quickly learned her new responsibilities. She has excellent customer service skills and treats everyone with kindness and respect.
