Early Days: The San Juan State Historic Park will host an early days event June 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in San Juan Bautista. The activities will feature docent dressed in period costumes, crafts and cooking demonstrations. Horse-drawn wagon rides will be available and visitors can purchase old-fashioned sodas in the saloon. Details: Call 831-623-4881.

SBC Historical Society meeting: The San Benito County Historical Society will host its general membership meeting June 15 at 11 a.m. in the courtyard in front of the Jack O’Donnell Visitor Center. Visitors are invited to attend the general membership meeting and to bring picnic lunch to enjoy following the meeting. There will be a tour of the park, where visitors can see the progress at the Dunneville Dance Hall, the community garden and hear about the Heritage Wall campaign. Pinnacles summer speaker series starts: The Pinnacles National Park Summer Speakers series continues with the lecture, “Cowboy Poetry,” will be June 15 at 2 p.m. Pinnacles Nation Park’s west side entrance. Janice Gilbertson will share stories and poetry with visitors. On June 22 at 2 p.m., for “Life of the Amah Mutsun,” Valentin Lopez will speak on the west side of the park. Lopez will discuss the culture and history of the tribal band. Park entrance fees apply for the speaker events inside the park.

Kids at the Park: The Annual Kids At the Park event will be June 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Dunne Park. Families are invited to visit with their children for a day full of fun activities and healthy resources. Many community agencies will be on hand to offer information to families while kids enjoy the day at the park.

Girl Scout Twilight camp: A Girl Scout Twilight Camp will be held at Dunne Park, June 18, from 4-5:30 p.m., to offer an opportunity for girls ages 5 and up to learn more about Scouts.
