Applications are being accepted for the upcoming Veterans Day Parade.

According to an announcement on the parade:

Hollister VFW Post 9242 is hosting their 15th annual San Benito County Veterans Day Parade in downtown Hollister on Friday, November 11th. Applications for the parade are available at Hollister City Hall, the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce, or by calling 638-6434. There is no entry fee for this parade.

This year, VFW Post 9242 Commander Bernie Ramirez, a Vietnam Veteran will be honored as the Grand Marshal.

Other activities for the day include a breakfast hosted by LULAC at 7:00 am in the San Benito High School Cafeteria and the following activities take place at the Veteran’s Memorial Building:

10:00 am Veterans Benefit Fair
10:30 am Banner Presentations
11:11 am Memorial Ceremony
12:00 noon BBQ Lunch

The banner presentations will feature installing banners on the light post in the Veteran’s Memorial Building Plaza and along San Benito Street that individually honor our local active duty military personnel. The banners will remain in place until the service member is deactivated.
