An earthquake occurred near Ridgemark.

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake was reported at 9:35 p.m. Monday near Hollister, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake was reported about three miles south of the Ridgemark Golf Club just outside of Hollister. It happened at a depth of about six miles, according to the USGS.

There was noticeable shaking in the downtown Hollister area as well. People using the USGS website almost immediately reported feeling it to the north of Hollister as far as the Morgan Hill area.

There were no immediate, notable aftershocks.
