Saturday, Sept. 8 marked the 51st Annual Kinship Center Gabilan Chapter Wine and Food Tasting at the historical ranch located in Paicines. Proceeds from one of the largest charity events of the year benefited the children of the Kinship Center and their adoptive families.

Guests, many dressed in elegant attire reminiscent of the early 20th century, exited their vehicles to the fresh country air on a balmy September evening. The line entering Paicines Ranch stretched down the dirt drive as volunteers handed out trays and wine glasses donning the Kinship Centers’ teddy bear logo in exchange for a ticket. A scenic valley landscape provided a backdrop for people to mingle while sampling a variety of local wines and cuisines.

The annual event marks the end of summer and the beginning of a new year for the many Kinship children and families who rely on the Gabilan Chapter for continued support.
