National ‘A’ 15, Ferrasci 5
Ferrasci scored four runs in the first inning, but that didn’t stop Hollister from battling back. Joe Sculman went 1-for-2 and scored three runs, Adrian Soto had a double and two hits, Ryan Jacob went 3-for-3 with a double. Soto pitched the first three innings and was relieved by Frank Castilio.
National ‘B’ 7, Soledad 6
Hollister scored a run in the bottom of sixth to win the first game on Friday. Christopher Schlegel scored on a passed ball to win.
David Achen and Jacob Estrada both hit triples in the game. Zach Zanger started the game for Hollister and was relieved by Ryan Dikes.
American ‘A’ 26, Castroville 0
Hollister jumped out quickly with 18 runs in the first inning after drawing six consecutive walks. Everyone scored twice in the first inning.
Dustin Rovella went 3-for-3 with two doubles, Kevin Salvas was 2-for-3 with a home run.
Tanner Carrillo-Zazueta went 2-for-3, and Tyler Quimby went 2-for-2 with five runs scored. Hollister will play Continental on Thursday at 7 p.m.
American ‘B’ 11, King City ‘B’ 1
Mitch Huston pitched three strong innings. Nate Garza threw the final inning in the fourth. Hollister got three runs in the first and seven runs in the second inning.
In the second, Richie Beltran hit a single. Jake Tonascia was hit by pitch and Ryan Disalvo had a two-run base hit. After three walks in a row, Taylor Dukes singled to bring in two more.
In the first inning, third baseman Dylan Kay made a diving snag off a one-hop line drive to get an out at first base.
