Atwater Invitational at Stevenson Ranch in Santa Clarita on
Monday.
The San Benito golf team placed ninth out of 24 teams in the Atwater Invitational at Stevenson Ranch in Santa Clarita on Monday.

Zach Zgragen received a medal after finishing tied for seventh at 77.

The top two golfers on the course tied with a score of 74.

San Benito had an overall score of 426. Sheldon High from Sacramento won the match with a score of 388.

Other Haybaler scores were Chris Shackleton with an 81, Dan Isaacon with an 86, Derek Stone with an 89, Jason Allen with a 93 and Ryan Wood with a 98.

“I was real impressed with how they did, considering the scores that they have posted for nine holes,” said assistant coach Mitch Thomas. “This year is a rebuilding year, and to be able to finish in the top 10 was a good accomplishment.”
