semifinal round of the District 9 10- and 11-year-old All-Star
Tournament on Monday, with the winner advancing to the following
Friday’s championship round.

Hollister American and Hollister National will square off in the semifinal round of the District 9 10- and 11-year-old All-Star Tournament on Monday, with the winner advancing to the following Friday’s championship round.
Hollister American is 2-0 in the District 9 tournament after opening with a sizable 15-1 victory over Continental, then chasing it with a 10-0 win against Gonzales on Wednesday night in Salinas.
Hollister American has outscored its two opponents by a 25-1 margin so far.
Hollister National, meanwhile, opened the District 9 bracket with a first-round bye, then defeated Hartnell 14-8 on Wednesday in Gonzales.
The two Hollister teams will face off on Monday at Gonzales. First pitch is 5 p.m.
While the winner will advance to the championship final, the loser will be placed into the semifinal round of the elimination bracket.
Major All-Stars
Both Hollister American and Hollister National advanced to the quarterfinal stage on Wednesday night after American defeated Hartnell 4-0 and National topped Continental 7-0.
The two teams could meet up in Tuesday’s semifinal round, but both Hollister American and Hollister National will need to upend their quarterfinal opponents first.
Hollister American will play Salinas’ Ferrasci on Saturday at Continental, while Hollister National will square off against Gonzales on Saturday at Hartnell.
First pitch for both games is set for 10 a.m.
9-10 All-Stars
In a game between Hollister National 1 and Hollister American 2 on Tuesday, it was National which advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 26-0 victory at Salinas’ Hartnell Little League.
Hollister National will now play Atlantic on Friday at Salinas’ National Little League, with a first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
Hollister American 2, meanwhile, is placed into the elimination bracket where it will face King City on Thursday at North County Little League. First pitch is 5 p.m.
King City is fresh off a 14-10 win against Hollister National 2, which has been eliminated from District 9 contention.
On the opposite side of the bracket, Hollister American 1 defeated Hartnell 16-1 on Tuesday and will face off against Soledad on Friday at Salinas’ American Little League. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
