The Sixth annual Hollister Airshow is set for June 20 and June 21 at the Hollister Municipal Airport. There will be flying aerobatics, a motorcycle stunt show, vintage cars, food and more. It is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. those days. See more on the Hollister Airshow website at hollisterairshow.com.
The San Juan Bautista Historical Society is inviting residents to join the group at Dona Esther's on June 13 when Aromas resident Alan Kemp will speak about the influence of water on the development of the Spanish El Camino Real (also known locally as the Anza Trail) in old Monterey-San Benito County and the selection of Mission San Juan Bautista’s site. The annual meeting is set for 11:30 a.m. at Dona Esther Restaurant in San Juan.

The American Legion Post 69 and Veterans of Foreign Wars locally are raffling off a 2015 Indian Motorcycle Chief Classic with a custom patriotic paint job. Tickets are $20 each or six for $100 while just 5,000 will be sold. Proceeds go to charities. The drawing is set for 2 p.m. July 5. For more, go to americanlegionpost69.org.

A Pig Roast Dinner to benefit the Hollister Elks Lodge is set for 7 p.m. Friday at the lodge. Menu items will include roasted pork, beans, coleslaw, applesauce, garlic bread and carrot cake. Dinner tickets are $18. Please make reservations before Nov. 11 at noon by calling (831) 637-1436. It will include a silent auction with closing bids at 8:30 p.m. plus raffles. Funds will go toward a major project to help kids with disabilities.
