Local authors to host historical book signing
Authors Joe McMahon and Peter Sonne will share a little history and personal insight on their book "Hollister," Nov. 24, from 4 to 5 p.m. at San Benito Bene, 615-B San Benito St., with a Q&A and book signing to follow the talk. The book is part of Arcadia Publishing's "Images of America" series and it was published this fall. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.

Pancake breakfast: The Hollister United Methodist Church will host an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Nov. 24, from 8 a.m. to noon, at 521 Monterey St., in Hollister. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. The meal includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, orange juice and coffee. Take out available. Details: 831-637-4240.
