Red Phone: Callers are steamed over street conditions
Callers to the Red Phone lately have alley fever. After the City of Hollister Public Works Department recently addressed shoddy street conditions on two other alleys – Browns and Wentz alleys – another caller this week offered a brief description of her displeasure with three local roadways: Smith Alley, Washington Street, and Monterey Street near St Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Red phone: City fills slew of potholes in alley
City public works crews recently filled a slew of potholes along Browns Alley near downtown Hollister after a resident had expressed concern to the Red Phone.
