The Hollister Police Department has been awarded a $23,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety for a year-long program aimed at preventing deaths and injuries on local roadways through special enforcement and a public awareness effort, according to a statement released by police.Â
Officers from the Hollister Police Department will be conducting a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint on Sept. 1 at an undisclosed location within the city limits between the hours of 7p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
