The San Benito County Office of Emergency Services is warning residents to prepare for power outages, downed power lines, fallen trees and small stream flash flooding.
While Hollister has received more than two inches of rain in the deluge of storms that started Nov. 28 across Northern California and the Central Coast, the city and county have avoided the brunt of storms that caused flash flood warnings in other nearby counties, with some places seeing 12 to 20 inches of rain.
Although there was some rain over the weekend, it hasn’t been enough to get the Hollister area back on track and closer to its averages for this time of year.
