Briefs: Shop Hop event is set for Saturday

The Spring Shop Hop is scheduled for Saturday. For the inaugural Shop Hop event before the holidays, more than 60 local businesses participated and they raffled off 11 baskets full of local products or gift certificates. There were 722 entries from shoppers on the day of the event. The spring event will be more of the same, and many businesses have signed up. Residents can shop and win free delicious wines, gourmet chocolates, gift certificates to spa treatments, new fashions, yummy restaurants, computer tune ups and more! The more shops you hop, the more chances you get to win one of 15 amazing raffle baskets with prizes contributed by these generous local organizations.
