Top 5: San Benito County Fair, Renaissance Faire and more

San Benito County Fair: The San Benito County Fair runs this weekend, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Carnival opens at noon. Friday is Kids Day, with 12 and under free all day, Senior’s Day is Saturday, with $1 off admission. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors 60 and older, $3 for kids 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under. Parking is $4. Discounted fair tickets are available at the Fair Office or Ranchers Feed. Presale carnival passes are available at Ace Hardware, the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce, the Fair Office, L.A. Hearne, Postal Graphics and Ranchers Feed. Fantasy for the medieval ages continues at Casa de Fruta

Fans of medieval times have a chance to step into a fantasy world at the Northern California Renaissance Faire Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 14 at Casa de Fruta, 10031 Pacheco Pass Highway, outside Hollister.

Top 5: Renaissance Faire continues its run

Downtown Hollister cleanup: The Hollister Downtown Association is teaming up with Girl Scouts and Recology for a Downtown Fall Clean-up Saturday, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The group will meet at the corner of Fourth and San Benito streets. People should bring brooms, dust pans, hoes and garden gloves. Organizations and groups can call 636-8406 or email [email protected] to reserve a block ahead of time.
