Two years after the Hollister City Council approved a deal transferring management of the Veterans Memorial Building to local veterans groups, city officials and those organizations’ members are talking about renewing an expired contract.
San Benito RideShare has launched a new website to make it easier for San Benito County residents or visitors to find information about travel options. RideShare is coordinated by the Council of San Benito County Governments and its new webstie is www.SanBenitoRideShare.org. The site provides commuters with a free matchlist through an interactive, on-demand system that helps people find others who would like to ride to work together through carpools, vanpools or bicycles.

The San Benito County Board of Supervisors is expected to approve a contract with the City of Hollister for fire services for the 2013-14 fiscal year at a special meeting Tuesday at 9 a.m. Supervisors had agreed to pursue a contract with the city of Hollister at the April 2 meeting, after two hours of discussion and comments from the public.
