Early Days: The San Juan State Historic Park will host an early days event June 15, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in San Juan Bautista. The activities will feature docent dressed in period costumes, crafts and cooking demonstrations. San Benito Historical Society continues dance hall campaign
The San Benito County Historical Society launched its “Heritage Wall” campaign to support the rebuilding of the Dunneville Dance Hall at the San Benito County Historical Park. The original dance hall blew over in a storm on New Year’s Day in 2006.
A civil lesson in battles, history
The San Benito County Historical Park in Tres Pinos saw an influx of visitors this past weekend as it hosted Civil War Days. The annual event brought in reenactors who dressed and acted the part of Union and Confederate soldiers as well as towns people.
