The San Benito County Office of Education took what seems to be the final blow as doors to all its school sites are officially closed through the end of the Spring semester.
Hollister schools Trustee Peter Hernandez made a motion at the latest board meeting that didn’t receive a second in favor of a resolution urging the state legislature to place a two-year moratorium on implementing a bill to eliminate “personal belief exemptions” for vaccinations.
For most students at schools in Hollister, San Juan Bautista and Aromas, it’s classes as usual despite the rain. At Southside School, however, classes are canceled for Friday.
The City of Hollister has added or clarified parking restrictions near Sunnyslope and Gabilan Hills schools and on Ladd Lane, where large trucks have made it a habit of parking in the pedestrian right-of-way.
