San Benito High’s boys soccer team was rewarded for its strong season when coaches recently voted a trio of Balers to the All-Monterey Bay League Pacific Division First Team.
San Benito High’s girls soccer team was reinstated in the Central Coast Section Division I playoffs Thursday, and the 11th-seeded Balers were granted a trip to Milpitas to play third-seeded Los Gatos in the quarterfinals at noon Saturday.
During a strong 2011-12 girls soccer campaign a year ago, the Balers finished achingly close to a Central Coast Section berth, missing the cut by only one game.
