The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting Aug. 1 at 4 p.m. in board chambers in San Jose to take action on a measure that would raise the county’s sales tax rate by one-eighth cent.

At the meeting they’re expected to make the final decision on the measure that would go before voters on Nov. 6.

The public meeting starts at 4 p.m. Wednesday in board chambers, 70 W. Hedding Street, First Floor, San Jose. The meeting was called for on July 31.
