A resident called us complaining about overhanging tree branches in an area along Cerra Vista Drive between Vallejo Drive and Sunnyslope Road. He said it causes problems for the street sweeper and that drivers of taller vehicles sometimes hit it.
Hollister public works official Marcelo Orta said crews probably have it on their list already, as they also get notified of issues from street sweepers.
Orta added that city workers addressed the overhanging branches covering a stop sign at Memorial Drive and Oak Street – which was featured in last week’s Public Works section – along with other problem areas.
“We did everything from the corner of Sunset all the way to Meridian,” he said. “There were some bad ones.”
