SBC Chamber members needed: The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce is looking for chamber members that would be interested in serving on the SBC Chamber Board. Anyone interested, please submit name, business name, address, telephone number and current e-mail address to the Chamber office or just call 637-5315. The deadline is July 31.
Vacation Bible school: The Presbyterian Church of Hollister will hold its Son Harvest County Fair Vacation Bible School from July 14-18 from 1 to 4 p.m. Children ages 5 through fifth grade are welcome to attend. Volunteers are also needed from ages sixth grade to adults.

Food distribution: Community Pantry will be distributing USDA Commodities to low-income south San Benito County residents at Panoche School Saturday, July 19, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The distribution is for south county residents who meet the federal income eligibility requirements. Relay for Life: The Hollister Relay for Life and The American Cancer Society will hold a dining out fund-raiser July 23 at Chevy’s Mexican Restaurant in Gilroy in which Chevy’s will donate 20 percent of the proceeds.

SJB Library garage sale: A garage sale benefiting the San Juan Bautista Library will be Sunday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Individual spaces are available for residents of San Benito County only – no vendors. Among the items offered include pizza, home-made pies, white elephant, old and new books along with a Scholastic book fair. All money made by individuals is theirs to keep. Get a table by Aug. 1.
A call for artists in Aromas: The Aromas Hills Artisans are looking for artists and crafts workers to show and sell their works at Aromas Day on Aug. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Booth spaces are $35 for a 10-by-10 foot space.

Summer reading program: The Friends of the San Benito County Free Library will sponsor a free summer reading program, “Reading is a Picnic,” for young adults and children 6 and over Thursdays from 7 to 8:30 p.m. through Aug. 7 at the library, 470 Fifth St.
Mary Lee Sunseri will perform Marylee’s Musical Library Show for children during Awards Night Aug. 7.
Participants must have a library card and read books checked out from the library. Library cards will be available when registering or any time before. For more information, call 636-4107.
Special parents support group: The Special Parents Information Network has formed a support group for parents of children with disabilities. The group meets monthly from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Medical Therapy Unit meeting room, 761 South St. in Hollister. Meetings are conducted in English and Spanish.
