Carolyn Homan on a Spin Bike at Live to Cycle on McCray Street

Live To Cycle, a local spin bicycle studio, is celebrating its one-year anniversary Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 193 McCray St., Ste. 304, in Hollister.

The anniversary celebration and open house will feature refreshments and healthy snacks, hourly drawings and will have a Pearl Izumi representative selling accessories at a discount. Those who would like to see a class in action should arrive between 10 and 10:45 a.m. New riders who buy a ride pass during the anniversary celebration will receive a free water bottle.

The spinning exercise is supposed to strengthen cardio, core muscles, glutes, hamstrings and calves while burning 350 to 600 calories a workout.
