The varsity ‘A’ team won the Jackson All-Stars tournament on May 22-23 in Salinas. They went undefeated at 3-0.
In the first game, Jamie Hall had had 18 points and Marleene Rameriz scored six in the 46-29 victory over the Jackson All-Stars. In the second game, the Balers defeated the Salinas All-Stars No. 2 team from Notre Dame, 37-15. Trisha Lee had 15 points, Hall had 12 and Rameriz had six.
In the third game, San Benito defeated the Salinas All-Stars No. 1 team, 32-11. Lee had 10 points, and Hall and Nicole Lucas had eight points each.
On June 15, the Balers will host a tournament. There are four games in each gym, beginning at 5 p.m. The varsity ‘B’ team goes to Notre Dame Belmont for six games on June 18-20. The JV ‘A’ team plays at San Rafael in the High School classic also on the same weekend.
The varsity ‘A’ will be heading to Reno on July 9-11 for a five-game tourney. The JV ‘B’ team is playing in Galt for a four -game tournament on July 17-18.
