A white car crashed into a telephone pole on Santa Ana Valley Road in Hollister, following continuous rains that started in the early afternoon.

A white car crashed into a telephone pole on Santa Ana Valley Road, but no driver was on site.
“They took off,” said Officer Luis Alvarez, who had his police car parked in the road in front of the accident.
The accident occurred around 4 p.m. after a storm that hit the county this afternoon had been raining steadily for several hours.
“It doesn’t sound like were any injuries because EMR (Emergency Medical Response) is not responding at the same time,” said a Hollister Police Department dispatcher.
