Responders treat the victim who was hit by a car Friday afternoon.

A car struck a pedestrian at Seventh and San Benito streets, while responders transported the victim as a precaution, according to police.
The accident happened at about 3:45 p.m. in downtown Hollister. The accident involved a car turning right onto San Benito Street at Seventh Street on the Veterans Memorial side of the intersection.
Capt. Carlos Reynoso said the pedestrian, a female senior citizen, was crossing the street when the car hit her. The woman was with a male pedestrian who may have been hit as well, but the man was uninjured, Reynoso said.
“The vehicle didn’t see her – hit her,” Reynoso said.
She had minor injuries, and responders took her to a hospital for precautionary reasons, Reynoso said.
