The question of the day is,

Do we want a convenient Indian gambling casino?

Dear Editor,

The question of the day is, “Do we want a convenient Indian gambling casino?”

Will it tempt us to try to win big bucks for that new car, vacation trip, or just to have more money when we shop for groceries for our family?

Well, what will the results be?

Some of us will go on payday, and the next week our family will be hungry. Some of us will have huge family fights over this: We don’t like being hungry. Some of us will lose our homes: The money to pay the mortgage or the rent has been spent at the casino.

Some of us who are doing the gambling will become very depressed and guilty, and go back “just one more time” to try to win enough money to pay off our debts.

You can see where this is going, and it isn’t pretty. Do we really need this in our community? I say NO. What do you say?
