“Sam Farr wants to spend federal taxpayer money to fix up New Idria mines so it will become a tourist attraction. He says it will add income to the county coffers by drawing tourists. Will he also send money to build a super highway to New Idria for the amount of tourists needed to cover the cost?
Does anyone remember what happened between the Board of Supervisors and the Paicines Ranch debacle? The board said to build a new highway there at the expense of the developer. Has Sam Farr paid attention to the Board’s past demands or is this politics as usual? More PORK, spend and spend.”
